OVERVIEW:

Album starts out with a prayer. Then tells a story of him being young, dumb and in love/lust.

Kendrick is just trying to be alone for a little. He doesn’t want no one killing that vibe. He’s trying to reflect on himself and those around him. I also feel he’s trying to say he’s surrounded by people but is still isolated.

Aaaaaand… He goes bat shit crazy.

Then that crazy shit makes since. He was giving into peer pressure.

After chilling with his homies. They free their minds. Then money comes by and they get out of their minds.

Love is a crazy feeling. Really draws your focus.

He’s a good kid. But the place he lives in influences him to bad.

He gives into the influences. Then reflects on it with OG Eiht.

He slips into a state of depression. And alcohol is his escape.

After that episode he reflects on life again hoping someone will show him love.

He looks in the mirror and analyzes himself. Distinguishing what’s really real.

That’s a kid from Compton.

This album is great.

The production is very West Coast.

The story telling is impeccable.

After listening to this album you really get to know who Kendrick is.

While having you reflecting on your life.

I can’t say nothing bad about it.

Question: How did GKMC make you feel when you first listened to it?
What album should I review next?
